do they actually help? or is it just added weight?

nvm got my questioned answered....and Quik, the cheap ones on ebay dont do anything whereas the good expensive ones do fine.

 

Front strut bar doesn't help much at all, but does help with body roll. A rear strut bar has more function on a neon than a front one. Sway bars do more for handling that strut bars.

And the cheap eBay ones work great as long as they are adjustable.

 

I have a Vibrant Performance Strut Bar in my girl, it did help out tremendously with stability on sweeping turns along with work to the camber and caster.
