bosch spark plugs and pcv valve
Does the bosch platium, bosch platium 2x(2 split), and bosch platium 4x(4 split)plugs ever caused any problems for the 96 dodge neon highliners 4d in thepast. What does thepcv valve do and when should it be replaced or signs of it needing replaced.
Platinum plugs are a waste on the neons waste spark ignition system and they still need to be replaced every 10,000 miles. Cheap copper plugs do the same if not a better job on the neons.
PCV valve stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve.

Platnums should last longer. All the new multi tipped plugs are a waste of money and are a JOKE!!! Bosch plugs have melted before and they are of ****ty quality. Copper ones work great on neons. They are actually made out of nickel. Iridium fine points are the way to go though.
PCV valve should be changed when they stop ratteling when you shake them. They put a negative pressure on the bottom end of your motor to take out impurities, and reduce pressure so the piston can down stroke with less labor and reduces the risk of blowing out bottom end gaskets. If you change it to a flow through design (with out the check valve) and put a breather filter on it, you will get a cleaner intake.
