Default neon wiring

Ok guys I have narrowed my problem down to this. Those of you that have read my forum entitled "my neon wont start" will know what I am talking about. Ok so far everything I have tried wont work. But I spliced some stuff to jump it and see if it would work but it didnt and when I put it all back together I tried turning it over and I was getting what you would call intermitent spark. It sounded like it wanted to run it would hit about 3 times then keep turning over, then hit once or twice here and there but still would not start. And now once again, I am getting nothing. I guess what I am getting at is how much a new wiring harness is from the dealer? Or if I would be able to get the junkyard to find one for me? And also according to my schematics, my green/orange wire should be feeding hot into the coil and injectors but it is currently feeding ground. Does anyone know if this is right? Please help!!

Default RE: neon wiring

Your right the green/orange should have 12v on it. When the ignition is turned on the auto shutdown relay should close and energize the green/orange with 12v. If there is no 12v on the green/orange it may look like a ground because it is has paths to ground through the injectors, O2 sensors, coil pack and alternator. However if it were shorted to ground it should blow fuse #21. So start at fuse 21 (verify 12v) and then connect to the green/orange as close to the fuse/relay box as possible to see if it has 12v when you turn the ignition on. If you have a 12v output at the relay then the problem would have to be a damaged green/orange wire.

I don’t recall if you said you had swapped the relay or not but may be worth a try, swap the relay with say the horn or a/c relay (I think they’re all the same).
