what is the best way to remove paint i have a 96 two door neon and the paint is chiping of as it is and i dont have alot of cash to do it any one have any ideas

what kinda sand paper can i use paint thiner i need a little more than that

 

well how much do u plain on taking off like are u plaining on going to metal or what

 

all of it i have a team member who is going to primer my car so it can be painted but he said i have to remove all the paint

 

know anyone who has a sand blaster?

 

will that be faster do i have to tape of the windows and i dont think i know any one with a sand blaster can i rent one

 

tou could use paint remover spray. im not sure how it would work on car paint, but a long time ago, when i had a big goofy spoiler it was painted and i used that paint remover and the paint just lifts off the metal in long sheets, its really cool...BUT CAREFUL dont get ANY overspray!!!

you dont have to take all of your paint off to primer your car.just wetsand the clear coat off with 400 grit sandpaper. make sure you get automotive 400 grit, dont go to lowes or home depot.
