Car: 1997 Plymouth Neon SOHC ATX

I have seen some neons for sale here when people weren't’t being honest. Although this is my first time selling on here, I’m going to try my best to describe the car I’m selling, cause I want it to go to a good home. I’m going to have the pictures do most of the talking.

I’m selling my neon. It’s a black 4 door. Has 115,000 miles on the motor and transmission, but I put a new gauge cluster in with a tachometer and it shows a little over 91,000 miles. This could be a great little car for someone. I tried to make this my project car but I ran into the infamous rear main seal issue. I don’t have the patience nor the money to fix it. I really hope this goes to someone who’d appreciate, and take car of the car like I have. I performed the usual maintenance to this vehicle, and it consisted of:

New Head gasket
New Valve cover gasket
New oil pan gasket
New radiator
New battery
New timing belt and water pump
New spark plugs and wires
New Fuel filter regulator (you know the one that always gets clogged)
Head has been resurfaced w/ 95 cam (sounds a little more aggressive)
Oil changed (Valvoline Max Life)
Oil pan completely scrubbed down to get all the sludge off
Radiator flush
New o2 sensors (before and after cat)
Filled front motor mount
Very nicely white painted dash and more (this is the way I bought it)
New wiper blades
21 Jan 07- Compression test done. Its all good.

There are a couple things that I was going to fix but never got around to. New Struts (KYB GR2), Brakes (was told that there still good but I wanted to get better ones), steering wheel is a little off, the rear main seal, and foggy front signal lights (easy fix). It also has a sagging headliner which I temporarily fixed with pins, I DO HAVE TITLE IN HAND. There is no P/S or A/C, but heater blows hella hot!! It comes with a new rear main seal in box.

All I’m asking for is what I bought it for…..$900
And for 1,100I’ll throw in: Iceman CAI, Pacesetter header, Prothane filled mounts (transmission and side motor), Dohc muffler, Mopar high rate springs and KYB GR2 struts w/ brand new isolators.

I WILL GET BETTER PICS TOMORROW. MY CAMERA’S BATTERIES DIED.

Yup, even living in a wonderful place called Mechanicsburg, I stillcouldnt find anyone who could help me out with the rear main seal. I mean without taking every penny to my name. So this is a cheap car that needs a little piece (thats included), so that it could be strong again.

 

too bad you didnt live closer...id buy it off of you becuase i need a work car[&:]
or too bad you didnt live closer and i could fix it......i usually charge about 100-200 for replacing rear main seals

 

damn thats what im looking for but i dont have the money right now if i did i would get it from u i only live in carlisle

 

i love the view in carlisle...hopefully soon i can go back out there to the july car show[&:]...its been a few years.....but the main reason i would like to go is for the view of the mountains

i would consider traveling to get it, but i found a neon about 20 miles from me for $1,000 with ALOT of mods
