Default no charge...

Ok, so I am getting a new car, but Im not giving up on the neon just yet. Shes got sentimental value. hahaha. I just wondered... I replaced the althernator because i wasnt gettin enough charge, that didnt do anything. yesterday my battery finally died while i was driving. What else could the problem be? Is there any kind of fuse or relay in between that and the battery? I dont have my manual on me right now. My only other 2 guesses were that the pcm is bad, or the new alternator I got is junk.

wow, i just got my car back. Went out and looked at it and found that the end of the starter wire was busted, so there was no connection there. Would that cause my alternator to not charge the battery?

Quite possible, direct from the battery.

I also just noticed that when the door is opened, the relay under the fuse panel inside the car is ticking. What is that relay for?

No, the starter has nothing to do with charging.

Can you get a pic of which one you are referring to?
