its finally off and a "straight" pipe is in. i'm happy. my car no longer sputters and ahhh its loud though. i'm pretty sure i have exhaust leaks everywhere now lol. but the problem is that it sounds like it belongs in a junkyard but hopefully when i get my new muffler that will change.

 

Get a resonator and a turbo muffler if you dont want to get tickets, i had 7 loud exhaust tickets, with just a resonator. $515 worth of tickets. not fun!

yea that was the big thing lol. at my church we have cops that direct the traffic leaving. and as i was pulling away and came to a stop, one of the cops were walking my way and i was like oh dear i'm screwed lol. but she just wanted to let me know that my lights weren't on all the way.

Also the muffler that i ordered is a Hooker Header Max. Flow muffler. wasn't my first choice but it was a lot cheaper than the other one that i was looking at. and if its still 2 loud, i'm just going to take it back and get the other one. but hopefully it will quiet it down some. Its amazing how much the Cat. helps with the sound.

 

Why not just get a high flow cat?

 

the money aspect. i was looking at the Magnaflow ones off Ebay, but with those plus shipping plus the other pipes it would of been like 65 or so. this only cost 30. and right now money is VERY tight so.

 

why not just gut the cat? if you have a mechanic that will do it , it is cheap, all that he does is cut it open, take everything out, and weld( i think ) it back together

 

True, but here in ohio, unless your in a big city, No echecks, So yay! But the cops will still give noisetickets! No use in tons of money on name brand exhausts (imo) when you can spend 20 bux and have a mean sounding car for 16000+ miles, This was all in another post recently about turbo mufflers and such.
