Make your own with a 3.0L intake tube. Total cost= ~$50.

Please tell me thats NOT your version of a CAI, please[>:]
Your better off doing the 3.0 intake, that dryer hose thing would cause way too much wind disturbance.PlusI commend your effort but it looks too ghetto. IMO

lol thats not the finished product(just shows the fit of the tube) , my filter rests behind my bumper. that "dryer hosing" is what they were selling at autozone for CAI's and it only makes up half of it, the part after the battery tray.

Alot of people are using 2" exaust pipe to make it. Because you have to cut the center of the 3.0 tube and stick in about 6" of exhaust to extend it, plus you can use the remaining exhaust piping to extend it below your battery. This way there isnt as much interference. Plus it probably costs a lot less then the "dryer hose@ the auto store. Im not trying to be a dick here, but if you want a little bit more performance Id return the hose and get a 2' long piece of 2" piping. Im sure some one here has a pic of what I mean. Im at work so I cant post my pics.[&:]

I've heard some people say it isn't worth a crap anyway. Just stay away from deep puddles and you are fine.
