i've got a faint squeek when i engage the clutch when shifting from 1st to second. i've heard it while shifting from 2nd to third and while taking off in 1st, but not everytime time. going from 1st to second it's pretty consistant.
the clutch grabs and starts moving the car forward, but just before the pedal is fully out, it sounds like i ran over a dogs squeaky toy. it's faint, but audible.
56k on the dial, mint shape, clutch doesn't slip and transmission shifts fine, but this noise is making me crazy!!
any ideas??

 

Your pedal bushings or clutch pedal return spring may have worn out or aren't lubricated properly.
