Difference with Neon and DSM
I have a question on this. 2nd gen dsm(94-99) used a chrysler built 2.0 DOHC. Same design for the most part of the neon if not taken from the idea of the neon. Now i know the heads are not the same but for as much as i know, the block is the same. They put out 140HP, neon put out 150HP. Now the question is, is a neon dohc faster 5spd than a 2nd gen dsm 5spd. Now the neon only weighs 2450ish, and the dsm is around 3000. Right there should say alot, but for some reason when i look up info on this, i find the neon falling short. any ideas? could it be the difference in gears and set up of engine?

RE: Difference with Neon and DSM
The DOHC engine for the neon shares the same block with the 420a engine from Mitsubishi, but has NOTHING in common with the 4g63 engine from Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi (after the merger) took the ECC (DOHC neon engine) and reversed the head. The internals are different and don't directly swap.
