Horrible Cold Starts/Insane Whining
Went out to start my car today to make a quick run to the store and i'm used to what i beleive to be the PS whining whenever i start cold...but i turned my car on this time to find it idleing horribly and when i tried to get the rpms up a lil to help the engine warm up she barely wanted to move up...just faster paced sputtering...can the PS cause this problem? I'm pretty sure it's bad and the belt being tightened won't help...so what do you guys think...i also beleive i have a fuel problem....running rich..no CEL but i burn full(above f) gas tanks in 140-150 miles without being a lead foot
mine did that this morning, and my PS was basiclly non existant so i checked the fluid and it looked like my headgasket blew up in my PS res. and my PS hasn't really been back all day. but the whinning stopped the more i drove it.
yea mine stops once the engine is ran(actually driving) for maybe 3/4 of a mile...also when i turn the wheel it whines SO bad...i also noticed that whenever i pull into my spot after flying up the street that once my engine goes down to lower rpms that the PS whines even if the engine is hot....i remember glancing at my PS res earlier but i don't think it was low...i'll check again though.
The rough idol and not wanting to rev up much soounds very much like a frozen injector or 2. It will run, but will sound like a cammed V8 and won't rev up freely like it normally would.
