2 gauge will work fine, but what do you mean by yellow top? If you are talking about the battery, then you only need one.

kool. and yes yello top. well i was think of no alt. for dragging. one would be to jumpand start the car and the outhe for getting down the track.

Those batteries are heavy, so use a dry cell battery, if thats what you want to do.

Dry cell batteries are smaller and lighter and you can mount them anyway you want.
