ok so im in the process of fixing up my 96 neon
i need help on upgrading the motor
in a few months i plan on taking the engine out and rebuilding it in to a high preformance engine
or if i get the money switch it out with a pt crusier with the 2.4 or the gt motor , srt-4 motor
also body upgrades would be great thanks for ur time

or you could get a stratus 2.4 bottom end with srt internals, 2.0 dohc cylinder head with 2.4 cams for less than half the price you would pay for a full srt4 or pt cruiser swap...unless you are doing everything your self...u still might come out cheaper though

yea it bolts together fine. srt4s have the same head as the 1st gen dohc..but with different camshafts, etc..

 

No it doesn't. The SRT-4 head is different than the N/A 2.4 head.
