Default Friend bought a 96 and wants to disable the use of a key in ignition

Like the title says, apparantly he comes from cars that have all had modified tumblers or lock cylinders or something and wants his to be able to start with or without the key.

Is there a simple way to help him with what he wants? He doesnt wanna jam a screw driver in there and make it looks like its stolen, but I heard on some gm cars you can put the key in, like ON position and take vise grips and yank the key out.

I just figured Id ask people who should know *shrug* I wouldnt do it to my car, the windows are enough excuse for it to be stolen

lol...u can try messing with the ignition switch and try to break the lock off....but he is increasing his chances of gettin his car stolen....so if he walks outside one day....and its gone....he'll know why.
