when oil starts leaking up into the spark plugs... it because the valve cover seal or gasket is broken right? and how hard is it to fix? or is it even much of a problem to leave it lone?

 

It's your spark plug tube seals that need to be replaced. You can get valve cover gasket kit that includes new spark plug tube seals for about $20.

 

yeah its not too hard to do yourself 20-40 minutes depends on how fast or how careful you want to be.
just dont be like me and be stupid and break one of the screws holding your valve cover on. i still wonder how im not leaking oil.
well i am but thats a whole different story.

 

if you do happen to break one of the bolts (like me and asbel) just use some RTV sealant. thats what i did and its worked beautifully.

 

thats what happens when you dont torq them back on, the next time you remove them they breat. did that replacing the thermostat
