hi im kinda new to this forum and i was wondering ive heard from somebody that there is an specific dodge neon year whitch came with that mopar cam and aluminum intake manifold and if that is true what year was that and how can i see on the dodge neon if that is the correct yeat or beteer said how can i see what year the car is ??? and also about the aluminum intake manifold whitch year and how much power can u get with these 2 parts together.

id realy apreciate all the info and help i can get.

The 95 neon has the more agressive cam for the 1st gen neon. The 01-04 Magnum engines have a more agressive cam than the 95 and is a cheap upgrade for the 1st gen neon as well.

The SOHC aluminum intake came on early 95-96's, I believe. You won't gain any power with it, they are just good to cut up for a custom manifold.

 

as far as i knew, only the early 95's had the aluminum sohc intake manifold

 

i got a early 96 and it has a plasic one

well then it must of bee earlier then that....though i dont think they made them much earlier.....unless it was replaced???

if it was nicer outside then i would go to one of the junk yards near me and check the build date on the one thats out there[:@]

 

i have a 96 with an aluminum and i have a year decoder
the 10th didgit in the VIN number is the year. It goes as follows from 94-06
R=94 S=95 T=96 V=97 W=98 X=99 Y=00 1=01 2=02 3=03 4=04 5=05 6=06
