The 97 ACR came with black Koni's stock on the car as well as as the rear sway bar. ACR's are the lightest neons available as they were designed with autocross racing in mind.

ACR's also have no door molding and fog light bumpers with no fog lights.

What do you guys think the chances are of finding a ACR Coupe nowadays? I know they were really limited production. Think they would be really expensive? Or cheap because of the lack of comfort options? Maybe they have mostly been run into the ground?

How about locating just the DOHC engine? I'd bet the junkyards are full of SOHCs. Think it is possible to strip any neon coupe down to the same weight as an ACR?

My R/T is in pretty good condition right now, all stock, and part of me thinks it would be crime to tear it apart and rebuild as a rally car.

I bought my 96 ACR sedan for $400.

Any neon should sell between $500-$3000 depending on condition. Model doesn't really matter.

No, I found it on another forum. It wasn't running when I bought it and had a gas leak, but they were easy fixes

the acr also has a quicker steering ratio, 4 weel discand the trans has both a lower final drive ratio and a lower fifth gear for better acceleration. All ACRs get the oversized radiator from the air conditioned car, front fascia had empty foglight holes. The side moldings were not available from the factory. 96 option could have a leather-wrapped shifter and steering wheel, and Sport seats
