i finished the install of the thermostat, torqued it down correctly, refilled with antifreeze, and when i started it up, there was a louddd screeching sound, it sounds like a pulley going bad, but its not a pulley, cause it was not screeching 5 mins before teh install... anyone ever hear of something like this????

 

you prollly have fluid on a belt

 

yeah, when changing a thermostat its easy to leak the coolant on the crank pulley.....just give it a little bit and it should be fine

 

ya i did spill some fluid on the belt...but i dont think it would make a screeching noise like this loud.. plus the sound sounded like it was coming from the general direction of teh thermostat
