Default CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON

1995 Dodge Neon.. Just installed a heli-coil on first plug socket. After installing, check engine light will not go out. stays on steady. How is this re-set? Does the steady light mean anything? I've had other junkers that had the check engine light on continuously but had no issues. Some defect. Is this the same as I've experienced?

if you want to reset the light just disconect your battery cable and let it sit for alittle. and you only have a big prob when the light is blinking at you

You may want to check the codes first, turn ignition on/off/on/off/on and count the flashes. My bet is a code 43 due to aluminum filings foulingthe spark plug (should correct itself once running). You can also reset the codes by removing fuse #21 (Fuel pump) for several minutes, it feeds the PCM it's in the power distribution box under the hood.
