my piston rods

i just wanted to put them together and see what they looked like.....now they are all back apart and sitting in the boxes on a shelf just like all the other crap i own.....

they do look good though, and the pistons are very light....i think the heaviest part of the whole assembly is the wrist pins......the pistons look like stock replacements as the dohc's.....they still have the flat top with the valve notches in them too...

too bad the motor wasnt see through so you could see the internals when its all together[&:]

they are purdy, if they were mine i wouldn't install them lol. they be too pretty too hide.

 

damn now i cant wait to get mine here in a couple weeks when r u putting them in

 

i just ordered my rods/pistons on saturday..... $745.90 shipped....so how much abuse can these things handle??? thinking about a 100 shot of nx with the turbo.....

oh yea spud....i heard the srt4 turbos start losing efficiency around 18psi......

 

well then its good that im only gonna run 15psi.....atleast until i have the money to get an AGP 50trim turbo

the combo is supposed to be good for up to 900hp......or.....35psi of boost AND a 300 shot of nitrous

im not in any big hurry to get them in since the car is just sitting in the driveway and i wanna take the time to do the motor exactly the way i want....and since the engine is sitting on a stand, it will give me time to take it apart.....plus ive got alot of other projects goin on right now and i have to wait until i have the $800.00 to get the motor work done and the $1500 for the other misc. motor stuff i wanna get for it

adjustable cam gears
bearings/gaskets
stainless steel valves
oil pump
and non motor related: PIAA 110watt fog lights lights, quafie lsd, braider stainless steel brake lines
and im gonna paint the calipers and struts, finish porting my head, install the projector headlights, pain the controll arms and sway bars, rewire my external pump, paint the srt rims black, install the clear corner lights, paint the vlave cover and intake manifold, make a new coolant overflow tank and put it in the fender well, and then see if i can purdy up the engine compartment a bit....so if u can tell, ive got alot to do so there isnt much of a hury to get it done.....well, as long as its done byearly summer

 

damm....sounds like u gotta long road ahead of you[&:].....itll be a while before i can get head work done....for now she's staying stock
