Damn Battery!!
So I last used my car saturday, I tried to use it yesterday and the battery was dead!! The battery is about 5 months old so what can be causing this? I'm afraid the battery will die if I don't start the car eveyday. I'm getting the code for the battery temperature sensor thing, could this be the problem?
the batt temp sensor really does nothing DAS would prolly say ignore it. jump the car let it run for awhile and then have autozone test it. you may have a battery with a bad cell. go to where you purchased it and they should replace it free. maybe a bad alternator? start the car then remove the negative battery cable if the car dies the alternator is bad new ones are about 180
i had the same issue with my 95 neon,if i didnt start it everyday the battery would die and my battery was about 1-2 monthes old and i had my battery tested about 1 month after i bought it and the battery was good,,,,my altenater was good 2,,,so i ended up getting rid of my neon but i never could find the problem?????i still wonder though, what was wrong with it,,,in my case i think something would stay on in my car but i never found it,,,but , i hope u find ur problem,i wish i could help u out,,,,Good luck,,
ohh and just a thought while im here. i had an issue one time where i had a good battery and had a good alternator but a wire (GOD knows what it does) maybe a 20 ga not very big at all had coroded and lost conunity. but it was burried so deep in the wiring harnes it took me3 days to finaly find.

Sounds like you have something drawing current when the car is off. Check to make sure that the trunk, hood and glove box lights are off.
If you disconnect a battery cable and connect an amp meter you should read only a few milliamps of draw that keeps the pcm and radio memory alive. If you read excessive current draw then start pulling fuses one at a time until you find one that is drawing current. This should at least eliminate the good circuits and narrow down your search.
I’m rather skeptical about the code for the battery temperature sensor, the only time I’ve seen a battery over heat was due a shorted regulator and that boiled the battery dry. But your battery tested OK right?
