Default Subs in trunk

I am thinking about putting a couple subs in the trunk, maybe 8's or 10's
I would like them to be mounted so they don't slide around and also out of the way
I was wondering if anyone out there has some pics for ideas
like mounted to the sides of the trunk or to the center support where the rear deck speakers are or maybe even the back of the seat

and pics or ideas would be helpful
thanks
Brian

i think mounting them on the back of the seats would be nice. that way you can put the seats down and then have the speakers pointing up.
hey thats a good idea. if i ever do it I think thats how i would. 2-8" subs one on each seat.
then if you get passangers in the back you can scare the hell outa them lol. or give em a nice back massage.

I have two twelves, and they dont slide around at all. You have to look at the surface area of the bottom of the box... its actually rather big. And it also has carpet. and the trunk is carpet, SOOO they shouldnt slide very much at all. but if you want to you can just mount them to the spare tire cover and it will be relitivly stiff.

i had a rear stut bar and 2 12" it would be easy to mount them to the strut bar with the box that i had. and they make special sub boxes that go into the neon trunkshttp://www.hifisoundconnection.com/S...40237240245242 if you going to do it do it right

i had 4-12's inthe trunk of my old r/t.....they didnt move around at all
but, then again in order to get them to fit i had to beat some parts of the trunk in a little bit with a mini-sledge...

personally i dont see any way to actually mount the subs to the back of the seat and still be able to sit in it or fold it down[&:]

im not much for loud stereos anymore since i can harldy hear....but i had 3-10's in my rango that are getting divided up between 3 different cars...that way i have a little bit of a bump, but nothing major

i think your best bet would just be to put the box in the trunk without the speakers.....then use some good screws and screw it to the bottom of the trunk....then install the speakers

yeah I have 2 10" in a box and the carpet on the box and the carpet in the trunk work fine together and they dont slide around that much. I never hear them moving but sometimes they will move just a little. And like spud said, installing them in the seats would be hard and dumb probably. I would just pop the subs in the back and then get some steel "L" pieces and screw it into the floor orf the trunk. That way they dont move around and you still have the sound. Thats what I did and still have plenty of room and my car thumps.
