the speaker sixe may be 6.5" but to use the correct mounting pattern, you need to get 6 3/4"
6.5's are generally 4 bolt speakers.....6 3/4's are generally 3 bolt speakers...

unless you go rockford fosgate.....then you can get 6.5" speakers that have universal mounting holes for 6.5's and 6 3/4's

 

spud is right. I was at Best Buy the other day too and looked on their computer and saw that it said the size is 6.5". I purchased the 6.5"s because thats what they said and when I got home they did not fit. I ended up measuring the space myself and it was 6.75". So I returned the speakers and got new 6.75"s and they fit perfectly ad sound great.

 

When I went in for door speakers, they told me it was an "oversized" 6.5. Does Infiniti make a 6.75, since that WOULD be an oversized 6.5??

 

if i remember correctly, infinity does make 6.75's

 

this is good info, i need to replace all the speakers.
