Default Raining Neons : )

Number three as soon as the title is x-fered, all 5 spds.

Today's questions:
Daughter's 1996 Highline timingbelt might have jumped a tooth, runs but no power. Had it rollbacked to my garage just in case. If the belt isn't bad, it's due, so I'm chaning it and the water pump too. Any thoughts on doing the tensioner pulley? I understand that retorquing the mounting bolt can be a problem.

Number two question: Our 1998 Neon is a daily driver with 125K. It sounds like one or both rear strut bearings are going south. After checking prices for individual parts, struts, strutbearings and etc. I'm thinking of buying Monroe strut and spring assemblies. You don't need to fool with a spring compressor or nothing. Not only that the price with shipping is a lot less than piecmealing the stuff. Your opinion? Thanx.

1)Change the tensioner pulley as well.

2)Get some KYB GR-2 struts....very nice replacements.
