brake issue
Make sure the pedals are lubed on the back side. Like make sure they arent really dry because that makes them stick and stay and thats why the lights are on. I had that same problem on my 97 Neon and my step dad told me to just put some lube on the linkage thing on the back of the brake pedal and just push down a few times and it kept it from sticking. Just make sure the pedal is lubricated. Anyone else with some ideas?
can you get them off if the car is on and you tap the pedals? Like you say they go off after you tap the pedals when the car is off. Try taping the pedals when the car is on and if they go off then its just something is sticking in the pedal if the dont and only go off when the car is off then it might be a fuse or something.
Ok I just did a little research to check on the fuses. If it is a fuse you would want to check and/or replace the 15 Amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood behind the battery. It is probably just marked "turn signal". Try that and see what happens. That is the fuse for the brake lights so that might fix your problem.
