anyone know if this is absolutely necessary???? or can it be removed????
i really wanna clear up everything that i can from the engine compartment that isnt necessary....and this is one of those things that i wish could go

 

You can but you may get a code 31 for it. Some PCM's don't look at it.

 

yeah its necessary it will bring in the gas vapors from your gas tank and burn them. U will set a check engine light and loose gas mileage. If u live in a state that requires emmisions U wont pass

 

My bad, some PCM's don't look for the Leak Detection Pump attached to it. So you would get a CEL either way.

 

no emissions testing...i guess thats a good thing about living in hickville

i dontcare about the check engine light either.....there is gonna be a few other reasons the light will be on when the car is done, so thats no big deal......and my milage is deffinatelly gonna suck, so that doesnt matter either....
just as long as the car is gonna run right, thats my only concern

 

yeah it should run fine. Like the others said its just gonna cut your gas mileage down and give you that CEL but if you dont mind and already know the light is gonna be on then I say you should be fine.

 

i just dont like how cluttered the engine compartment looks.......im also gonna move the coolant overflow tank into the fender well like how the wiper fluid is
