I recommend the Pacesetter for the SOHC (just have the welds reinforced) and either the Kirk or some other longtube header. If you have emissions testing, then probably Modern's new one.
I have a pacesetter header and I say spend the extra money to get a stainless steel header. If you want performance for cheap then get the Pacesetter. The bad thing about the Pacesetter is its poor quality. If u want to get the pacesetter header I would recommend the armor coated one. I got mine around the middle of 2004 and as of now there is an exhaust leak from it. My next mission is to get that fixed. In the near future I will get a better quality header and cat-back. I have the pacesetter cat-back too and I got that around the same time. That's rusting out on the inside of the muffler tips now too.
LOL.
Pacesetter has nice performance and sound at an inexpensive price. If that's what u want then that's the way to go. U get what you pay for though. It depends how long u want to keep it.
i was thinking about putting my header on my work car....but i dont wanna start chopping the exhaust more then it alredy is[&:]
besides, its less work just letting it hang on the wall
The Kirk is a longtube (LT) header and would eliminates the cat. You could relocate the cat further back, but you would also have to lenghten the downstream O2 wires to along with it.
