Default clutch/brake assembly removal?

i have 97 neon SOHC atx , Wonderin how to remove the clutch/brake assembly from a 96 SOHC mtx in order to install onmy neon? and if it should be the same process to put it on but in reverse? i would much appreciate it if responded ASAP! thanks

there are just a few bolts....4 i think....that bolt it to the firewall...then just have to unclip the clutch cable

All you need to do is remove the bolts. I checked my haynes manual and like spud said.. there are 4 in the firewall.

The MTX pedals are a PITA to pull out though. I had to cut all the carpeting around mine to pull them out. They are wedged in there pretty damn good.

Good luck with the MTX swap.

yeah they do suck. I am swapping a mtx into mine next month and have talked to my uncle who is gonna help me and he said getting those pedals out suck. So we will probably have alot of fun

aight for everybody, who wants to to get the assembly out, i just got done doin it literally, n yeah its a pain in da but.... their are 4nuts on the fire wall...2 nuts right above the clutch pedal connecting it to the upper frame of the steering column, then u must take out or if not first u must take out the clutch cable n brake cable, (specifically the clips alone!) its a tight squeeze[:@], u might have to take down the four bolts that hold the steering column up to get more leverage if u dont have any air tools! thanks for the help everybody!!!

yeah i took my pedals out from my old r/t before i scrapped it....but i had the whole dash, steering column, and heater junk out before hand
