i have been recently having a problem with my 97 SOHC atx neon their seems to be a leak coming from the back of the engine , i thought it was the rear main, but i was told it might be the head gasket? and oil pressure switch? any suggestions? thanks!

RE: massive oil leak from behind engine?
Which side?
Driver's side possibilites.
Oil pressure sensor
Cam seal would leak from the head and down the trans..possible running onto the block
Rear main drips from behind the clutch..
Possibly head gasket

Passenger side
Head gasket more than likely
Camshaft seals behind timing cover

i will put money on the oil sending unit. it is located right under the exhaust manifold and on the drivers side. when they go bad, they leak like the water pump does. easy 10 minute fix if you do not have the stock air box in. takes a sender unit socket to remove.
