Sorry, I'm sure this was discussed alot of times but I'm new and I want to get my project going. I have an 84 d150 slant 6 manual transmission. I want to take the drivetrain from the 2000 5.9 rt dakota (engine and transmission). I do wanna stay with the fuel injection and modern automatic transmission.

I need some info on engine mounts, transmission crossmember, and if I can use the rear diff/axle assembly from the rt on the d150 with little to no mods. I was told to use the dakota gas tank for ease of fuel delivery. I do work at a transmission shop so putting in the engine and transmission is no big deal.

Are there any harnesses for starter? or does anyone know how to wire the ignition to the rt wiring harness?
