Tranny is possible but doubtful. No way for the transfer case. It would be good to check all fluid levels any time you have a problem with any system. Did it have this problem before all the work started?

i don't think it should have an o2 sensor if it don't have the lean burn system. i still think your problem may with the way the carb is tuned.

i would say if you lean the carb out a tiny bit it should start running better. there should be 2 mixture screws on the carb. turn them clockwise about a 1/4 turn at a time to lean the carb out. make sure to adjust both screws equally. what you are almost looking for is to get you truck idling as high as you can when adjusting them.

I took both screws clockwise and lost my good idle at about 1 full turn to each so I took them counter clockwise the full turn back to where I was and then about another full turn to find that high idle you were talking I noticed it instantly but now if I hammer on the throttle it will go just fine but if I ease from a take off or just ease at 20 or 30 mph than it starts cutting out again

strange that it was tuned too lean. i think you might just have to try to fine tune the screws until it is running good. also, when you set the timing did you disconnect the vacuum advance line that runs to the carb?
