I did not I'm not sure what line that is

 

there should be a vacuum line that goes from the carb to the distributor. if it is hooked up while setting the timing the vacuum advance will not really be able to do its job properly and advance the timing when the vacuum drops when you floor it.

 

Ok that gives me another thing to try out and will keep trying to adjust screws on carb
