Default blacked out first gen?

Ive been looking all over the place and I cant find an all black 1st gen dodge especially a 91-93 grill design. I found an older one thats almost completely black.

I wonder because I wonder about blacking mine all out. I really like the crome and black but the black I bet would look nice. the main thing I hold back for is just to keep it somewhat original but I has anyone seen an all black one?

i think this is more of personal preference thing. i think the only truck i would paint black would have to be a short box and even then i don't think i would blackout the grille and all the chrome. that would just be too much black. you need some color just like this

Yeah I think I saw that one but thats the closest I saw. I decided to do a little editing to a pic of my truck to get an idea of what it would look like all black. Not the best job but Im not that good with this kinda stuff but it turned out better than I thought it would.

thanks. For me Im torn between which way to go. The biggest thing would be wheels though. As it is, my chrome is worn pretty bad so once I get the major things done I plan on getting a new grill and all new chrome. But... I blacked out my truck Id just paint all the chrome. Even if I didnt like it I figure i can still get the chrome but I still dont know.

You should find out where you can get the replacement chrome and then tell us.

Haha. well Ive seen plently of places for grills, none with the DODGE letters though

Ive seen the handles in a couple places, but as for the mirrors, Ive only seen them at one site. Cant remember which one.

Ive been looking through a couple other forums, a cummins one right now. I tell you what, there are some nice 1st gens out there. Still cant find an all black one, although I did see a couple with black grills and one with black mirrors but thats about as close as I got.

edit. here is a site with the handles

Default Chromer w/o Letters

Yeah I just bought one off ebay Chrome without the "DODGE" Letters. I think it will be ok without it though, i mean hey I knw its a dodge. This grill is slighty different it has the inserts already molded into the grill. This grill all one big shiny piece of chrome even the inserts. I am wondering what the best type of paint would be to hold up to road dirt, bugs ect. Also the inserts are a cross hatched pattern instead of the horizintal slats painted gray. will get some pics up of the plain chrome later on today
