Lot of people are dismissive of the Rustoleum paint jobs but its old school enamel and if you thin it right, do multiple layers and wet sand appropriately you get a deep and rich shine that is very durable (I have done some tractors and a motorcycle). It does take a lot of work to get it to look right though so dont think its a cake walk. You also dont want to try a roller method with any metal flake in it. I wouldnt do that kind of paint job on a high value classic but for an older car or truck that you actually want to drive its a good way to get a cheap paint job. My 86 D-150 had a MAACO cheapo paint job not long before I bought it and its terrible..it would have been better rattle canned by a meth head coming down off a 3 day high.

I will say this, you have a nice looking truck but I dont think I have ever seen a Pink one like that.
would love to see pics and hear as much about your project as possible. its going to be spring or summer before i do any actual painting so im gathering ideas and trying to learn as much as i can.

not sure if youve picked any up yet, but i was by the tire shop today and the ones i am considering are Nexxen Roadian.

the only reason i havnt picked them up is because im waiting to see if my buddy can track down the Co-op spur mudders that we run on some of our farm trucks. I also havnt completely ruled out treadwrights.

I have to wait for spring myself as my shop isnt heated except by portable heaters. So far I have been working on mechanical things and doing some minor body work. I have the 8 hole aluminum wheels (1990) that I actually like but was missing a center cap which was driving me crazy because I couldnt find one but I ended up finding one from Chrysler Vintage Parts....$90.00. Thats pricey but its cheaper than buying new wheels I guess.

My next project is to grind off all the rust from the cab top and front hood and prime it.

I have decided to do mine myself. I found a place in town where I can rent a paint booth but I can paint it myself at home in a big tent which I think I am going to do. here's why, to repaint the blue, all i have to paint is the part that will BE blue, not the whole truck. In fact, most of the truck will be satin black. The entire hood, roof, and the bottom half of the truck as well as a wide vertical stripe up the center of the truck so I can do the blue very quickly and pretty cheap.
