I gotta say, there is a custom stepside chevy running around here that looks pretty sexy. Its about a '70 2wd C10 with a stepside box from a '90's era chevy. body lines match up pretty well and after being painted to match, looks pretty dang clean.

Found a picture I snapped on my phone. Take away all the chrome bolt-on garbage, the nasty wheels and the rake. Just look at the body. Looks pretty good IMO. I would level it out a bit, run some 15" or 16" Cragers wrapped in some decent meats and shave all the flashy junk. No cholo trucks for me. I think it would look sweet."http://i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b492/eb900/0407121706_zps03cf0197.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 0407121706_zps03cf0197.jpg"/></a>

Man, I think those looked better with the short wide beds. But to each his own.

I agree, I just like to appreciate the creativity and I am impressed with how well the body lines from two drastically different body styles flow together. Another plus to doing this particular setup is the issue of rust. I live in Iowa, and if you are into building classic stuff, its a constant battle with rust. Not an issue with a fiberglass bed. Again, not my favorite, just interesting.
