Default 1990-93 w150 for long haul

After some searching the only things I'm seeing for longer distance driving is problems with o2 sensors and water pump/thermostat. Besides the obvious fuel mileage and possible soreness is there any reason someone can give me for not taking a truck in these years on a long haul (up to and including 2200 miles twice a year), besides that drive it would mainly be a bad weather or secondary to my bike.

one last before someone says it, before the first trip I'll quite possibly be having it professionally rebuilt to hopefully overcome major issues

No reason not to. The question is, do you trust it enough to drive it that far? I have taken older cars/trucks further.......
