So first of hello im new to these forums, now that thats out of the way, im looking into buying a 80 d150 shortbed stepside moderate rust nothing crazy or extreme, not running so i cant check much mechanically until i get it and get it running, are there any common problems these trucks have? Anything to look for when i do go get it before officializing it? Fairly mechanically inclined so not at a loss, other then fluid refresh, is there certian spots typically rusts out bad and is hard to repair? It has the 225 /6 with a 4spd manual 2wd, approx 180k miles on odo. Couldnt find anything on other sites in reference to the fuel tank other then go to cell/different years. Any modifications that are either affordable or plug n play/bolt n play for fuel eco/pep to its step? Not needing to hit the drag but also need to jump out in traffic anlt moderate speeds aswell. I know this is long winded thanks in advance for reading this far.
