it is in the distributor.
how are you testing for power at the coil? usually there is only power at the coil for a short period when you turn the key then a when it senses cranking. it is usually best to test with a test light.

We used a test light on the positive side of the coil. We tried starting but there was no power coming to the coil. I replaced the ignition ,the ignition switch, the hall effect in the distributor and the ASD. WE check every fusible wire and yesterday check every wire with a meter coming and going to ECM . Haven't replaced ECM because this is a California truck and the emissions call for a ECM 4379546. Hard to find! Thanks for your reply and help!

I will check this afternoon. So I should be looking to see if power is going to the ASD so it can send power to the coil. Thanks

did you check for power going into the relay? do you live in California? unless it absolutely has to be that computer it may be worth swapping out for a different computer. i don't even know what the difference would be. the computer is actually a 2 part computer. i believe the smaller connector is the controls the ignition and the other section controls the rest,
