The speedo on my 92 W150 318 5 speed went out recently. For a while it stopped working intermittently and the needle would just bounce around randomly and then it’d come back to working as intended, now she’s full on dead and the needle sits at 0. I’ve looked through some forums and people seem to say it’s a known problem with the VSS but nobody mentions where the sensor itself is and I don’t know exactly what I’m looking for. I assume it’s either on the trans or t case somewhere? What’s the sensor itself look like and how do you go about replacing it?
