I have a 1979 Dodge W200 (No engine or trans) but it has the NP203. I am going to swap in a 5.9 Magnum, the question is what transmission and transfer case to use. I would like to put a manual transmission in but I know the ones that come behind the magnum are left side (drivers side) drive. I need a right side drive (passenger side) drive. I think I can use an NP435 (Trans) with a NP208 (T/C). I also know some 5.9 magnums should have come with the NV4500 but I'm not sure which T/C to use. I am looking for any information or tips from anyone that may have gone down this route.

The 203 is pretty much bulletproof... and when I changed my Chevy Blazer from full time, to part time 4 wheel drive, I got 1mpg better... That was it. Simply wasn't worth the effort. Now, will the 203 bolt to the back of an nv4500?? That, I don't know.
