89' power ram w100 problem
Im new to this forum. I have bought a 89 power ram thats in good strong solid condition. I'm the third owner. The truck was first bought from Texas parks and wildlife and was not used much. The second owner put about 3,000 miles on it then replaced hoses belts new gaskets etc. The truck has 70,000 original miles on it. If I shift it into 4w low the truck moves forward by engine power alone!!!! The only problem is the wipers wont work. I have flipped the lever and I can hear the electric motor hum. I can also move the wipers by hand without any problems. It sounds like to me that something is stripped. Any help on this issue I'd appreciate it. Ill post pics. of it when I can.
Thanks again

You shouldn't be able to move your wipers by hand. Turn your wipers on and look through the cowl vent (the piece between the windshield and the hood) and see if the wiper motor arm is still attached to the wiper linkage. The only thing that connects the two is a plastic grommet...I'm in the process of replacing it on my '81 right now actually. I think it was $3.25 for a pack of two at Napa.
