I was checking the fluid in the diffs on my '81 W150 tonight and looked to see what ratio the axles are. The tag on the front says 2.94 and had two sets of numbers...which if you reduced them they came out at 2.94 so I'm assuming those were the actual numbers of ring gear and pinion teeth. I'm confused on the rear tag though...just says 3050. Can't figure out what that means. Anyone know or do I have to pull the cover and start counting?
