I think you ought to test/change that TPS and check your wire. That maybe the cause of your engine surge. It may act up again in the future. If after the reset it came back, somthing is not quite right with it still.

ORIGINAL: Jacob1

25 test Throttle position sensor
22 test coolant sensor
32 possible air/fuel ration imbalance not detected during diagnosis, open or shorted EGR solenoid
23 indicates air temperature sensor input is below minimum or above maximum accepted voltage
12 and 55 are always there
BTW, I looked at my code list (a newer truck and so it could be diffrent), all the the key codes were correct as to what Jacob 1 posted except 1. I show 25 to be a shorted or open idel air motor and (a 24is the TPs). On my prior post, I was going on the assumption that a 25 was a TPS. Jacob1, did you enter a typo or cross your eyes when looking up the code? If so, your idel may not be as good because the one you put in is dead (open) and the PCM is useing a default value. Ohm out the sensor and insure the plug is seated all the way, no bent pins etc.

If not, the code may be diffrent and it's a TPS, either way, I would fix that code or it may cause you grief latter. Good luck.

well... Ialready replacedthe idle air control valve/module (depends which parts store you go to) and it did run better afterwards, but still idles up and down. It also is a PAIN in the butt to start when it is cold (wont idle by itself unless I give it gas) and also when it is hot I have to give it gas. Plus it stalls about 5 minutes or so after it warms up. Soon after thatit usually runs ok. I have noticed that after it stalls it will smoke a lot and everytime the idle drops smoke puffs out. I pulled all the plugs and there is no oil, no rust.. and the plugs smell pretty normal.

I am at a loss as to what is going on. There is a lot of condinsation comming out of the exhaust... my mopar head buddy said its normal. Tested it again today and still the 12, 25, 22, 55

Did you try to ohm out the idle air motor and inspect the wires/pins etc? As I said above, the new one may be defective. You may also have a poor connection, broke wire etc. The point is if you are getting a code for it, find out why!

Im going to get on that today. I checked out the wires the best I could and everything seems good to go. Im going to get the meter on them. I just dont know why I would have a broken wire or a bad connection... but then again a lot of things just happen.

Thanks again guys you have helped me out alot (and saved me some money!)

this are out of my haynes manual, so i just looked them up Checked again yeah must ahve crossed paths, 24 is TPS and 25 is idle air control circuit, detected shorted condition. Sorry about that. No. 22 is coolant sensor voltage too high or low, test. Mine was a bitch to start in cold, then itgot worse where you had to crank on it to get it to start. But mine was the crank sensor shorting out the computer. As long as the liquid is water not gas then it's ok actually means engine is running just perfect. Mine did it until the computerscrewed up.
