Default cruising problems, styling woes

hi everybody
i just joined today because i need help. i have 1992 Power Ram W150 with a 318hooked toan automatic. when im going down the road and i try to cruise about 45, theengine stutters and stumbles, and the whole truckshakes, italmost seems like its going to die. i was thinking maybe its starving for fuel, and i am planning on changing the fuel filter. if thats it, hooray. if its not,has anyone encountered this problems before, or have the same thing now now?

also, i want to do some exterior styling upgrades for my truck. i know, its foolish, a rock is a rock no matter what you put on it, but seriously. there has got to be somewebsite or placethat sells **** for the 1st genRam. other than JCBull****ney. anyone know of anything? im talking about lights, grill, tube bumpers, roof light racks, the good stuff.
any pointers on either of these things are appreciated!!

I've ran into the same problems with vehicles having ignition problems...bad plug wires, plugs, etc. I'd start out by changing the fuel filter and spark plugs. Look the dist. cap/rotor and wires over really good too.

Do you have any check engine lights?

Derek

Does it feel as though it is shifting from one gear and back to another? Mine did that around 45 because the overdrive kicks in about there and so dumbass installed it backwards and tore my transmission all to hell.

i just posted about this identical problem. my fix was the distributor cap was a little jacked up, make sure it's seated perfectly, other then that make sure the rotor's pointed properly. those were the only faults that i found with my problem. good luck. read PROBLEM! help! a few posts below yours, the guygave mereally good info

ah i didn't even think of checking that, i just assumed it was starving for fuel... some times when i start it it lopes and revs real loe like its flooded, then i rev it up and its like VVRRRRUUUMMMMM!!!!!!!!! (it seriously sounds like that, my exhaust is loud). do you think this could be spark related issues as well?

thanks for the advice everyone!
