Default Where do I find parts?

I have been trying to find a Dana 44 for my truck, but I don`t know where to look anymore. I have tried salvage yards, Ebay, classified ads, and praying to the truck gods, and I just can not find any parts for a 1988 W100. Am I looking in the wrong places? Where do you guys suggest? I`m having a hard time even figuring out how much I am going to have to spend. Anything you can add would be very much appreciated.

Don't just look for 100's look for 200's and 300's, if that doesn't work. You may have to look for a newer truck rear end or an older one. Old ram's are either picked over or still running. I found one no problem. Also look at the duallys too, the wreckers or city/ county trucks usually have danas just with different hubs.

They are probably too short to fit up under his truck.

My challenge is that I need the front axle, the rears are everywhere it seems like. I still could even use the passenger side axle shaft, gears, hubs, basically everything but the housing and drivers side shaft.

As I recall, the 44 has 12 bolts in the cover.

I`ll keep that in mind, but I live in Tx., and shipping for an item that size is about $275.

Try searching www.car-part.com or put a request in at www.junkyarddog.com

You can limit your search at car-part.com to just TX if you want.
