Default Guzzling the ole petrol

Just throwing this out there for people, but i just fixed up my 88 d150 and replaced every damn emission sensor, etc. I also hollowed out the cat. Now so far this tank of gas i'm getting about seven or eight mpg. Is this normal? Doesn't bother me as i got it for a work truck and it only has 53000 original miles on it, but i'm just wondering if there is more tinkering i need to do. Thanks.

I have changed the fuel filter and all emission things. Everything tests out okay other than the fact that it runs like crap when its cold, still trying to figure that out. All systems check out okay including egr, so i'm hoping its one of the two air sensors that go to the throttle body.
