For those who are following...
Here is an update on my situation for those who are following. I brought the truck and up to TDC and then timed it again, as it was still running like hell. I bought a new air charge sensor and took the old one out ( by old, not so old, whoever owned the truck before me changed it and didn't know what he was doing) as when i took the old one out i noticed no teflon fluid on the threads. The entire end of the temp sensor was COVERED in teflon. I mean globbed on almost an eighth of an inch thick! Goes to show you that some people shouldn't pretend to play mechanic and need to buy a manual. I put the new sensor in PROPERLY and wouldn't you know it, so far, today, the truck with 54 thousand miles is running like a dream. 88 D150. The big test will be tomorrow morning after it has set outside in 8 degree weather. So far the hesitation and problems have completely disapeared. We will see tomorrow....
