Any way to get d150 drop spindles?
ORIGINAL: turbododgepirate
Well, I ordered the rear flip kit from the guy here. I decided that in the front, I am going to do 2" shorter springs, and belltech drop spindles. I already have the nitroactive drop shocks, and they need the 2" drop spring. I dunno if I can use the air shocks I bought for the back, I hope so.
This will be my first major modification to the truck, to get the suspension the way I want it.
Say, anybody know how wide a wheel and tire I can fit under the truck? I am looking at a 15X8 and a 15X10 rim. I am thinking that 10 will be just too wide, but the 8" rim should be nice with some fat tires.

The spindles I am getting from Beltech, at one of the locations I posted. The sprinsg from truckinsuspension. http://www.truckinsuspension.com/ind...=2a&page=5 about 1/2 way down the page. I don't know if those are AIM or not. Hopefully not.

Where do you plan on getting the drop springs please tell me that you aren't thinking of buying them through AIM. Ind. I took my spindles to the machine shop to have the correct size tie rod hole bored in them plus I am having the hle bored so thetie rod goes in from the top. Now I don't have to worry about using another tie rod from a differebt truck or I don't have to worry about bump steer. I am definately going to doc. the install with plenty of pictures if anyone needs them, so as soon as my control arms come in I will get started with the assembly.

I have a set of those springs that I will give to you. That is a AIM product and I can tell you that they don't work. I bought a set of them as well as drop spindles from them mocked up one side off the truck and it sat higher than a stock truck does, 17.5" from center of spindle to fender lip with what should have been 4" of drop.

I appreciate the offer, but if they're crap, no thanks. I'll find another source. Does anybody know what the stock spring rate is on these trucks???

Its awesome that someone is making lowering components again for 72-93 Dodge trucks. I just completed the Dakota spindle swap on my 73 Club Cab that was mentioned earlier in the thread. With the exception of a little trimming on the dust shield and lower control arms it was a bolt on swap once you find the correct parts. Im new to the site and Im not sure how to post pics. The entire wap is online at http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/...=2#Post4222381. The spindles work great in conjunction with pocketed control arms. My arms are the long discontinued Chisholm arms but look identicle to the new arms being produced by the Midamerica and Bouchillon. I got about 5" drop from the arms and spindles with uncut springs. Suspension geometry is very good. Just thought Id let everyone know where to find the pics and info.[sm=icon_rock.gif]
