What do you guys think? pics.
33x15.50 swampers on 15x12 alcoas, I thought these tires would clear well with a 5 inch lift, they dont rub at all when im driving normally on the road, but once I go mud bogging, hill climbing etc... I cut the crap out my tires, slices all over now. Ive been looking into 8-9 inch lift kits for this truck but I dont want to extend drive shafts, If I have to do that ill just go with smaller tires but I really dont want to down size. I also have another thread about this, I thought pics would be more helpfull, the tires look like they clear very well in the pics. My dad also has a 1978 ford truck, pics below, the ford truck has a 9 inch lift kit and there was no need to extend drive shafts but the rear drive shaft has a constant velocity joint stock. Any help would be apreciated thnx.

Have you thought of modifying the wheel openings at all? You could trim them wider and higher, and use flares to make it look like the openings were meant to be big, it'd also help your tires to be legal(don't most states require that the tire not extend wider than the body?).
I really dont want to body lift it, i really hate body lifts. Also on the cutting part, I did cut the left front because that was rubbing when I was reversing. Id rather not cut at all. Im gonna try and get shackles and see what happends. If worse comes to worse ill just throw on a higher lift. Im just really conserned about the drive shaft part, I hope it works. Thanks for the input.
Put suspension stops that will keep the tires from contacting the body.

I don't like the truck at all! I think you should give to me immediately!
Hahaha, truck looks great. How much play do you have with the driveshaft and the transfer case? If you add another 4" of lift to the truck, then your driveshaft will be lengthened by ~1".....? And like stated above, a small body lift might be your best option overall.
