i have a crack about 3 inches long under the top hose on the driver side. it doesnt over heat or anything it just steams out when i turn it off and leaks of course. wondering if i could just weld it as a quick fix since im strapped for cash or would that be a bad idea. what about jb weld lol

jb weld will be fine for a short time.

you must grind any paint and corrosion away for it to stick properly.

the truck must not be started for 24 hrs after you apply the jb weld to ensure a proper cure.

I once had a Ford Tarus and the top hose pipe was made of a composite plastic. I couldn't weld it and didn't want to change it at the time. I roughed up the area with a file and course git sandpaper. I used JB weld, and really gooped it on. Not only did it last as a temp fix, I ended up selling the auto a few years later with the patch job still in place!
